  1. This map shows the expansion of Wendy's restaurant and franchise locations since the restaurant's first opening in 1969. The map is centered around the company's headquarters in Columbus Ohio. The aim of this map is to visually express the paper’s claim that the Wendy’s company has globalized fairly poorly, and has not completely matured as far as global dominance. It is important to highlight the previous locations of the company for this reason as well. The Wendy’s company operates predominantly in North America; therefore it is irrelevant to focus on company presence in the US. From the connections on the map it can be understood that Wendy’s has a fairly limited global presence, and has closed more international stores during the time period than it has opened.
    Key:
    - Purple pins represent the original Wendy’s restaurant location

    - Pink pins (purple lines) represent current international Wendy’s Locations

-Orange pins and lines represent international Wendy’s locations that no longer exist.

I really love your map it is very interesting how al the lines jet out to so many different parts of the world. That is my favorite part of the map; how everything connects to the origin of the company. Everything was neatly detailed and the map in all is very nicely organized. I also, like how each color represents a certain time when the company did globalize there and when it did not. Very nicely done.
